Recruited to establish the First National Orchestra in Guinea - created under Sekou Toure's authority, since the very
early of 60's and first member of «l'Orchestre National 'A' de la Republique du Mali», Keletigui Diabate has always experienced new playing style ; he mastered many instruments (listen to his
performance at violin on "fôsson" in Sandiya), specializing in fine on the balafon.
As a multi-instrumentist, he performed with brio many Manding classical folksongs : listen to his very own
interpretation of Kaira (mankaïra).
For he played many times with Guinea's bands where swing takes a preponderant part, his interpretations and
compositions sounded very lyrical ; indeed, when Keletigui Diabate was playing, the dance was not so far ! Just listen to his groovy performance of Janjon on Sandiya.
