« Soutoukoun » is a praising song dedicated to a forest village and particularly focused on the figure of a
marabout, very famous in the XIXth century, named Koumbousora (sola), who lived alone, in the Gabu kingdom, today near Gambia and Guinea Bissau, in the county of Jara.
Because of his healing gifts and his deep knowledge of Coran, Koumbousora was very much appreciated.
