 Djessou Mory Kante is a guitar player very famous in his country and in West Africa.
Coming from Guinea, he collaborated with many famous Manding musicans like Grand Papa Diabate,
Guinean "guitar hero" as well as
Sekou Bembeya Diabate.
"Guitar sèche" is the French word for acoustic guitar, an imported instrument, affordable and easy to carry around.
On the album recorded in Conakry (Guinea) directly onto digital 8-track, Djessou Mory is joined by Grand Papa Diabaté, the
"father" of modern Guinean guitar, by Djessou Mory's brothers Bakary and Djekoria Mory Kante and by Moriken Kouyate.
Djessou Mory shows here great virtuositic skills and performs some Manding folksongs like two beautiful variations on
